With another year in the books and the holiday chaos finally calming down, booking family photos for next year might be the last thing on your mind. Like really, who’s that diligent? Not me. But we all know the months will fly by, and soon enough, it’ll be time to update those annual family photos again. So, I put together a few reasons why now is actually the ideal time to book!

1. Get it off your plate – and onto mine! “Family Memory Keeper” is a big task to manage. But booking a professional vs. DIY-ing can make all the difference not just in the quality of photos, but how relaxed you feel too. You deserve to have joyful photos you can feel proud of. I can help you make that a ‘set it and forget it’ part of your year.

2. Give yourself breathing room. When we all have plenty of time to prepare, this does a couple magical things. First, it allows me really take care of you. My entire experience is personalized, and the more time we have to plan and get to know each other, the better! I’m with you each step of the way from helping you choose outfits, to coming up with a plan for the session itself. This leads to a more intentional session and better photos.

3. Invest in something that lasts. Photography is one of the few things in life that only gains value over time. While most of our material possessions will end up in the trash or given away, photographs will not. My clients always remark that out of all the photos we create together, the everyday little moments are the ones they cherish the most. A toothless grin, a chubby hand in yours, a hug that lasts a beat too long, and yes – even the sideeye glances from your doggo. We all have a million snapshots on our phones, but how amazing would it be to get IN those pictures where your family can love on you? These are the moments that deserve to fill your walls, and your shelves, and your hearts.

If you’re ready to start planning your family session, let’s schedule a time to chat. I can’t wait to hear more about your family and make amazing memories with you this year!

We did all of our favorite things together while Daisy snapped away; we hung out by the fireplace, had a dance party, and read a chapter book as we snuggled in bed.

My husband actually enjoyed himself, and the kids didn’t want Daisy to leave!
