You’re waiting at the edge of something so huge, no words can contain it

You might feel nervous. Sometimes worried. But also excited: you’re about to be parents!

You’ve heard that bleary-eyed newborn stage is full of little moments you’ll want to put in your pocket and keep forever. Now, all you need is a Columbus Ohio newborn photographer who can make the process easy.

Hey Mama!

I’m daisy, and you’re very welcome here.

I offer relaxed newborn photo experiences that fit within your comfort zone. No crazy posing or putting your baby in a bucket, ever.

Photos can feel both exciting and stressful, but I can guarantee to minimize the stress now that you’re here. I’ll guide you every step of the way.

Daisy took control of the session with ease, and directed us on what to do while also giving us space to act totally natural.

As new parents, we found her process incredibly easy and felt happy and comfortable the whole time.

What is baby-led posing?

The natural unfolding of a baby’s arms and legs when they stretch, the way they grasp your finger, the way they look when comfortably snuggled against your chest… all of that is simple, beautiful, and most importantly, safe.

Your baby will spend the session in your arms or in their crib, where they can move their body freely.

The end result? Photos that show your baby’s natural beauty. Just as they are.

Bring the whole family

Everyone worries about how their older kids or dog will behave during a photoshoot, especially when you’re still adjusting to a new baby. Traditional portraits can feel cheesy and faked with the “1, 2, 3, smile.” Not in front of my lens.

I will help you come up with a plan and provide guidance on how we can structure our time together, but this is 2 hours of your life where you get to shine.

How it works

1. Say hello

You reach out to me, and we chat on the phone. You spill the beans about your family, I share details about my process. If we fit together like PB&J, we reserve a spot on my calendar for the month you are due.

I’ll send you everything you need to feel prepared and confident.

2. Have a stress-free session

You let me know once baby arrives, and we schedule a time for your session. I’ll come to your home where you’re comfortable (which makes the best photos). We spend about 2 hours together turning memories into your new favorite photos.

3. The reveal

Just 3 weeks later, you get your gallery of images. You watch the slideshow and cry alligator tears because you just can’t believe how fast they grow. You get the digital files, and you also have my support in designing albums and prints so you have something tangible to display around your home. You do a happy dance. You did it!

Our session was relaxed, easy, even peaceful.

Daisy was laid-back and went with the flow, which as a new mom, I really appreciated.

GOT QUESTIONS?

I’ve got answers!

If you want to capture the tiniest details, you can schedule as early as 7-14 days after birth. However, if you prefer having more time to recover after birth, we can schedule when your baby is 3-4 weeks old. I’ve photographed babies at all ages and stages, and my relaxed approach works beautifully for all.

I recommend booking when you’re 20-ish weeks. That will give us time to prepare and ensure I have availability on my calendar, plus get you scheduled for a maternity session if you would like to do that. I only take 2-3 newborn clients per month in order to give each family a premium experience.

You’re reserving a spot on my calendar for the month you are due, but not an exact date. I only take 2-3 newborn clients per month to stay flexible. Just give me a call once baby is here, and we’ll find a time!

Yes! I provide natural looking edits that smooth over minor blemishes, while retaining the features and details you’ll want to remember.

You can plan for about 2 hours. Sometimes we’re done sooner if your baby is particularly sleepy.

Session pricing reflects immediate family only, but if you’d like to include an extended family group, you’re welcome to contact me to discuss a custom package.
