A young boy drinks orange juice next to his adult friend who is drinking a beer, capturing the relaxed atmosphere of kid friendly breweries in Columbus Ohio

As a kid, I loved tagging along with my dad on his weekly beer run to the bar for a frosty 6-pack of Miller Lite. I remember standing next to him, my white Keds tip-toeing on the foot railing as I tried to sneak a peek over the bar. The cashier would always offer me a slice of American cheese in an attempt to make me feel welcome, but let’s be real: bars in the 90s weren’t exactly a kid-friendly hangout.

Man oh man, how times have changed for the better!

Our closest friends have kids, so when it comes to picking a hangout spot on any given Friday or Saturday in Columbus, being kid-friendly is a must. I’ve compiled our favorite picks below, along with some of my clients’ favorites as well! Trust me, even if you’re not into beer, there’s still so much to enjoy in Columbus for a family-friendly happy hour.

Note to parents: Please double-check each brewery’s policies and visit during the appropriate hours.
